Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 29, 2026 Last updated: October 29, 2026
Aloha! This page explains what information Block Bros collects when you play our games or visit our website, what we do with it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain English so players and parents can actually read it.
If you have questions, email us at blockbros1808@gmail.com.
1. Who we are
"Block Bros," "BLOCKBROS," "we," "us," and "our" mean Block Bros, an independent studio in Hawaiʻi, USA.
This policy covers:
- Our website, blockbros808.com (including blockbros808.github.io)
- Our games, including International Robot League, The Great Wagon Trail, Super Fly Ninja, Mugshot Mayhem, the Quick Fun pack, Star Catch, and Daily Puzzle
- Our pages on itch.io, gd.games, and other places where we publish our games (together, the "Services")
Some of our games run on other companies' platforms, such as itch.io, gd.games/GDevelop, and GitHub Pages. Those platforms have their own privacy policies and may collect information we never see. See Section 5.
2. What we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. Here's what we may collect, depending on the game and how you play.
Things you give us
- Display names and robot names. In games like International Robot League, you can name your player or robot. These names may appear to other players and on leaderboards. Please don't use your real name, age, school, or anything personal.
- Messages to us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write.
- Quick-chat selections. Where a game offers chat, we aim to use preset phrases ("Good game!", "Nice shot!") instead of free typing. We may log which preset was sent so we can keep games fair and safe.
Things collected when you play
- Guest play. You can play many games without an account. We may give your device a random guest ID so your progress and matches work.
- Optional sign-in. If you choose to sign in, it's handled by the platform (for example, GDevelop/gd.games or itch.io). We may receive a user ID and username from that provider. We never see your password.
- Gameplay and leaderboard data. Scores, match results, wins and losses, and progress. Leaderboard entries (name + score) are public.
- Device and technical data. Things like browser type, device type, operating system, language, screen size, crash or error reports, and timestamps. This helps the games run and helps us fix bugs.
- Approximate region (if used). For online matches we may use a rough location (like country or region, based on IP address) to connect you to nearby players or servers. We don't collect precise GPS location.
- Cookies and similar storage. Our games and site may use browser storage (cookies, local storage) to save settings and progress. We do not currently use our own analytics or advertising cookies on blockbros808.com or play.blockbros808.com. Hosting platforms (GitHub Pages, gd.games, itch.io) may still log technical data under their own policies.
Crypto testnet features (Star Catch and Daily Puzzle extras)
- If you choose to connect a TronLink wallet on the TRON Nile testnet, we receive your public wallet address and any testnet transactions you approve (like claiming a BlockBros Badge).
- Wallet addresses and blockchain transactions are public by design and stored on the blockchain. We cannot delete or change them.
- We never ask for or receive your private key or seed phrase. Never share those with anyone, including us.
- These features are optional and testnet only. They have no real money value.
Things we do NOT collect on purpose
We don't ask for your real name, home address, phone number, photos, voice, precise location, or payment card details. Purchases are handled by the platform (see Section 5).
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Run the games: matchmaking, saving progress, showing leaderboards
- Keep play fair and safe: spotting cheating, removing offensive names, enforcing our Terms
- Fix bugs and improve our games
- Reply when you contact us
- Deliver testnet features you choose to use, like badge claims
- Follow the law and protect our rights and our players
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles about you.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising (as California law uses that term).
We share information only:
- With platforms and service providers that host or run our games (for example itch.io, GDevelop/gd.games, GitHub Pages, and any game-server or leaderboard service we use), and only as needed to provide the Services
- Publicly, by design: leaderboard names and scores, display/robot names other players can see, and testnet wallet activity on the blockchain
- For legal reasons: if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety, or our rights
- If Block Bros changes hands: if we merge with or are acquired by another company, information may transfer, and this policy (or one at least as protective) will still apply
5. Third-party platforms, ads, and payments
Some of our games are hosted on other companies' platforms. When you play there, their privacy policies apply to what they collect:
- gd.games / GDevelop. May show ads or offer "earn coins"-style rewards and may handle sign-in and leaderboards. Ads may be served by GDevelop's ad partners. See GDevelop's privacy policy.
- itch.io. Handles downloads, accounts, and payments. See itch.io's privacy policy.
- GitHub Pages. Hosts our website. GitHub may log technical data like IP addresses. See GitHub's privacy statement.
- TronLink and the TRON network. Wallet software and blockchain are run by others. Block Bros is not affiliated with TRON, Tron Inc., or TRON DAO.
- Payments. If we offer a paid version (for example, a one-time ~$1 purchase), payment is processed by the store or platform. We don't receive your full card details.
We don't control these third parties. Please review their policies.
6. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you're under 13, please don't sign in, connect a wallet, use BlockChat, or contact us without a parent's help.
Some games (like International Robot League) use kid-safe design choices for players 13 and up — for example, quick-chat with preset phrases only, not free typing. That does not mean the Services are directed at children under 13.
If you're a parent and think your child under 13 gave us personal information, email blockbros1808@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
7. Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- See the personal information we have about you
- Fix anything that's wrong
- Delete your information (except blockchain records, which we can't change, and anything we must keep by law)
- Get a copy of your information in a usable format
- Object to or limit certain uses
- Withdraw consent where we relied on it (like connecting a wallet). Just disconnect.
Email blockbros1808@gmail.com with your request. We may need to confirm it's really you, for example by asking for your username or guest ID. We'll reply within a reasonable time and within any deadline the law sets. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.
You can also:
- Play as a guest without signing in
- Clear cookies and local storage in your browser (this may reset saved progress)
- Choose not to connect a wallet
If you're in the EU, UK, or a similar region: we process information to provide the game you asked for (contract), for our legitimate interests (keeping games fair, safe, and working), with your consent (optional features like wallet connect), or to follow the law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
If you're in California: you have the rights above under the CCPA/CPRA, including the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We don't sell or share personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of. We don't use sensitive personal information to infer things about you. You can use an authorized agent to make requests.
8. Where information is processed
We're based in the United States, and our platforms may store data in the U.S. or other countries. By using our Services, you understand your information may be processed outside your home country, where privacy laws may be different.
9. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it:
- Leaderboard and gameplay data: while the game or leaderboard is live, or until you ask us to delete it
- Guest data saved on your device: until you clear it
- Emails to us: as long as needed to help you, then deleted within a reasonable time
- Blockchain data: permanent on the blockchain and outside our control
10. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, like relying on established platforms and limiting who can access data. No online service is 100% secure, so please don't put personal info in names, and never share your wallet seed phrase.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our games change. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make big changes, we'll post a notice on our site or in the game.
