Terms of Service
Effective date: October 29, 2026 Last updated: October 29, 2026
Aloha and welcome! These Terms are the rules for playing Block Bros games and using our website. They're a real agreement between you and us, so please read them. We kept them as short and clear as we could.
1. Agreeing to these Terms
"Block Bros," "BLOCKBROS," "we," "us," and "our" mean Block Bros, an independent studio in Hawaiʻi, USA.
The "Services" are our website blockbros808.com (and blockbros808.github.io), our games, and our pages on itch.io, gd.games, and other platforms.
By playing our games or using our Services, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any house rules we post (for example at play.blockbros808.com/rules). If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.
2. Who can play
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services, including BlockChat and our games.
- If you're under 18 (or under the age of majority where you live), a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms for you.
- Parents and guardians: if you let a minor use the Services, you agree to these Terms for them and are responsible for their use, including any purchases.
- Crypto/testnet features (Section 9) are for players who are at least 13 and meet any extra age rules the wallet provider sets. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree.
3. Guest play and accounts
- You can play many games as a guest. Guest progress may be saved only on your device and can be lost if you clear your browser or switch devices.
- Some features (like online leaderboards) may let you sign in through a platform such as GDevelop/gd.games or itch.io. Those accounts follow that platform's terms.
- Keep your login info safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- We may suspend or remove guest IDs, names, or accounts that break these Terms.
4. Your license to play
Our games are for fun. We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to play them for your own entertainment.
You may not:
- Sell, rent, or redistribute our games or their files
- Copy, modify, or reverse-engineer our games, except where the law allows it
- Use our games or assets to make your own products without our written permission
Streaming and videos are welcome! You can stream or post gameplay videos, including monetized ones on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and similar platforms, as long as you don't claim the game as yours. A shout-out or link back is appreciated.
5. Names, chat, and other player content
Player content means display names, robot names, quick-chat messages, scores, and anything else you create or submit.
- Keep it clean and safe. Don't use real names, personal info, or anything offensive, hateful, sexual, or bullying.
- You keep ownership of your content. You give Block Bros a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, display, and share it as part of running and promoting the Services (for example, showing your robot name on a leaderboard or in a highlights post).
- We can rename, hide, or remove any player content at any time, without notice, if we think it breaks these Terms or isn't family-friendly.
6. Play fair: things you can't do
Please don't:
- Cheat, hack, exploit bugs, or use bots, mods, or scripts to gain an advantage
- Mess with leaderboards or fake scores
- Harass, threaten, bully, or impersonate anyone, including Block Bros
- Try to collect other players' personal information
- Attack, overload, or disrupt our games, servers, or platforms
- Use the Services for anything illegal
- Get around a ban or suspension
If you break these rules, we may remove your scores, names, or access, temporarily or permanently.
7. Multiplayer and leaderboards
- Online play depends on internet connections, servers, and third-party platforms. Matches may lag, disconnect, or fail. We're not responsible for lost matches or progress.
- Leaderboards are public. Your name and score may be seen by anyone.
- We may reset, change, or remove leaderboards, seasons, or rankings at any time, for example to fix cheating or bugs.
8. Purchases and virtual items
- Paid games. Some games may cost money (for example, a one-time purchase of about $1). Payments are processed by the store or platform (like itch.io), and their payment terms apply.
- Virtual items like coins, badges, unlocks, and rewards have no real-world money value. They can't be sold, traded for money, or cashed out, and they're licensed to you, not owned.
- Refunds. Purchases are final and non-refundable, except where the platform's refund policy or the law requires otherwise.
- Ad rewards. Some platforms (like gd.games) may offer rewards for watching ads. Those are run by the platform and may change or stop.
- No gambling. Our games don't offer real-money gambling, betting, or loot boxes that can be cashed out.
9. Crypto and testnet features (Star Catch, Daily Puzzle extras)
Some games offer optional features that use the TRON Nile testnet and a TronLink wallet, like claiming a BlockBros Badge. Please understand:
- Testnet only. No real value. Testnet tokens and badges have no monetary value and can't be exchanged for real money. We won't promise they ever will.
- Not financial advice. Nothing in our games is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice.
- Not affiliated. Block Bros is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TRON, Tron Inc., TRON DAO, or TronLink. Their names are used only to describe compatibility.
- Your wallet, your responsibility. You control your wallet and keys. We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. We can't recover lost wallets, reverse transactions, or fix blockchain errors.
- Blockchain is public and permanent. Wallet addresses and transactions can be seen by anyone and can't be deleted.
- It may change or stop. Testnets get reset, and we may change or remove these features at any time.
- Age. These features are for players who meet the age rule in Section 2.
10. Third-party services
Our games use other companies' services, like itch.io, GDevelop/gd.games (including ads and sign-in), GitHub Pages, and TronLink. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, ads, outages, or actions.
11. Who owns what
Block Bros (and our licensors) own the games, characters, art, music, code, logos, and the Block Bros / BLOCKBROS names, along with all related rights. Except for the limited license in Section 4, these Terms don't give you any rights in them.
Some content may come from third-party creators or open licenses. We credit them where required [on our Credits page: /credits].
Feedback: if you send us ideas or suggestions, we can use them freely without paying you.
12. Copyright complaints (DMCA)
We respect creators. If you believe something in our Services infringes your copyright, email blockbros1808@gmail.com with:
- Your name and contact info
- A description of the copyrighted work
- Where the infringing material is (a link)
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use isn't authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you're the owner or authorized to act for the owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
We'll review it and remove the material if appropriate.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
Our games are made with care, but they're provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." To the fullest extent the law allows, Block Bros makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't promise the Services will be error-free, secure, always available, or that progress will never be lost.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- Block Bros won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, progress, profits, or virtual items.
- Our total liability for any claim about the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) US $50.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
15. Indemnity
If you break these Terms or the law and that causes a claim against Block Bros, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees. If you're a minor, this applies to your parent or guardian.
16. Ending things
You can stop playing anytime. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, or change or stop any game or feature at any time. Sections that should logically survive will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
Before filing anything, please email us first at blockbros1808@gmail.com. Most problems can be fixed with a friendly conversation.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We'll change the "Last updated" date, and for big changes we'll post a notice on our site or in the game. If you keep playing after changes take effect, you accept the new Terms.
19. Other legal details
- If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a rule right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
- You can't transfer these Terms to anyone else. We can transfer them, for example if Block Bros is acquired.
- These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.
